Meet Dr. Ruhi Soni
Dr. Ruhi Soni, founder of Soni Vision Institute, is a board-certified ophthalmologist with more than 15 years of experience in cataract and refractive surgery. Recognized as a Rising Star by Texas Monthly, she is known for her precision, compassionate care, and commitment to each patient’s unique needs. Believing that no two patients are alike, Dr. Soni emphasizes personalized treatment plans. This philosophy inspired her to create a dedicated, patient-focused practice—something she once thought implausible, but soon realized was the only way to deliver the level of care her patients deserve. She specializes in refractive cataract surgery, advanced technology lens implantation, and eyelid restoration.
A Cypress, Texas native, Dr. Soni studied engineering at Texas A&M University before returning to Houston for medical school and residency at the prestigious Baylor College of Medicine. A proud Aggie, she has always valued quality over volume—taking the time to understand her patients, answer their questions, and guide them toward the best possible outcomes.
Beyond her surgical expertise, Dr. Soni is deeply connected to her community and a devoted mother of three children who are her guiding light. She has served on the board of The Lighthouse of Houston, supporting independence for the visually impaired, and was honored as a Women in Medicine recipient in 2022. Her vision for Soni Vision Institute is simple: to provide world-class eye care with the compassion, attention, and integrity every patient deserves.
Meet Dr. Nikitha Reddy
Dr. Nikitha Reddy is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who brings advanced surgical expertise and a patient-first philosophy to Soni Vision Institute. She specializes in refractive cataract surgery, complex cataract surgery, advanced technology lens implantation, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS).
Dr. Reddy graduated summa cum laude from The University of Texas at Austin before earning her medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School. She completed her ophthalmology residency at UT Southwestern, the nation’s largest surgical training program, and went on to pursue a prestigious fellowship in Glaucoma and Advanced Anterior Segment Surgery (GAASS) under world-renowned surgeon Dr. Ike Ahmed. Her training and experience allow her to manage even the most complex surgical cases with confidence and precision.
Dr. Reddy is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the American-European Congress of Ophthalmic Surgery, and American Glaucoma Society.
In addition to her impressive credentials, Dr. Reddy is known for her kind nature and the special connection she builds with her patients. She takes time to listen, answer questions thoroughly, and ensure that every patient feels comfortable and supported.
